Attended East Haddon Hall boarding school in Northamptonshire.
Studied in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art 1956-58
Married Michael Wells in 1960 they had two children Orlando and Sasha. They divorced in 1976
She won the 1972 best actress award at Cannes for the film "Images" based on her own story
Susannah wrote two books for children, In Search of Unicorns (1973) and Lark's Castle (1975)
She wrote the 1980 Michelle Pfeiffer film "Falling in Love Again" about herself
In 1991 she was appointed an Officier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres
Sadly Susannah died 15 January 2011 in London
